MIXTAPE Vol. 4 highlights dance film works focused on the revival of the body and soul through movement, dance and film. It will celebrate finding new pathways for creativity and flow during times of stagnant turmoil, embracing the artists’ journey as we continue to navigate a world in extreme flux.
Artist Benefits
Artist/Teaching Stipend
Presenting artists are offered a $250 stipend and a $150 teaching stipend. *Teaching stipends only applicable if presenting artist is teaching a master class for the MIXTAPE virtual workshop. More details available to artists on workshop upon acceptance.
Widespread Visibility
As a presenting artist in MIXTAPE, your film work will be seen by diverse audience across various virtual platforms. Visibility is guaranteed to all presenting artists through an extensive social media and marketing plan facilitated by our marketing and administrative teams.
Networking
Presenting artists will have the opportunity to network with other dance artists from local & national communities throughout the duration of the MIXTAPE program.
Artist Promotion
Artists will be supported and promoted through online publications and features across various virtual platforms through a widespread marketing implementation campaign.
Requirements
Films must highlight and interpret MIXTAPE Vol. 4 theme: restore | regain
Film work must be between 5-10 minutes in length
All content must be original and owned by creators including choreography, concept and music
Works must be solo film works or socially distanced group work
A 250 word minimum work proposal must be submitted as part of the application process
