Angelita Itzanami Andrade

Angelita I. Andrade is pursuing a dance degree with a concentration in modern at Kennesaw State University. Angelita has been in the KSU Dance Company for five semesters. This experience has given her the opportunity to work with prestigious choreographers, Lisa K. Lock, Sean Nguyen and Thang Dao. The KSU Dance Company also gave her the opportunity to work alongside Thang Dao as rehearsal assistant. Angelita is the President of the Student Dance Collective and Social Media Manager for the Dance Company at KSU. Angelita was selected to be a choreographer and film director for the American College Dance Association, where her film, “Hear Me, I Have Nothing to Say”, was presented and adjudicated. She has also worked as a guest artist for Zoetic Dance Ensemble working with Artistic Director, Mallory Baxley, and choreographer, Cherrise Wakeham. Angelita currently teaches dance classes at local competitive dance studios. She dreams of sharing her passion for dance by opening a nonprofit studio where all people will have a safe space to explore and create movement. She continues to seek new opportunities to eventually make this a reality.
